Robbins Nest Custom Machine QuiltingQuilting ServicesWe offer hand-guided machine quilting services and have a large variety of quilting patterns and thread colors to choose from. All work is done on a first come, first serve basis. We do not have a waiting list. When we receive your prepared quilt, it is scheduled the day of the month that it is received. Our normal turnaround time is approximately 90 days and our prices are competitive. We have many payment options as well. Please view our Quilting Policy before sending your quilt to us. We regularly add new patterns and thread colors. We will have finished quilts, wallhangings, tablerunners and other quilted items for sale soon, so come back often to see what's new.
We routinely use Fairfield traditional & low loft poly batting as well as Hobbs heirloom 80-20 cotton batting in pre-cut and pre-packaged sizes. We no longer stock batting for sale. We have a list of battings we have lots of experience with and are approved for use. Please see our batting information page for more information. Some brands are too fragile for the excess handling required in machine quilting. They tear easily. Some of these include Fairfield Cotton and all brands of Mountain Mist. We will not accept these or any upholstery type dacron. Binding We recommend a double bias binding, finished with mitered corners. A straight grain binding is sometimes used on wallhangings or if you run short of fabric. You must supply additional fabric for binding. We will apply and finish binding on your project as follows:
